Stumpedia: search won’t be come more social than this

Every week we publish an interview with a start-up. We ask five questions, hoping the answers will give you inspiration and new views. Well, actually six questions, since we also ask the start-up to who he or she is passing the mic to. This time we’re interviewing Luis Pereira, Founder & CEO Stumpedia, a human-powered social search engine that enables registered users to submit sites and matching keywords and phrases. The relevancy of search results are then ranked and rated by the community.

Watchmen's alternate universe version of New York City, circa 1985, comes to life in this behind the scenes video showing. Five years ago, I'm not sure what would have been less believable: That a Watchmen movie was going to be faithful to the graphic novel, or that Rorschach would be played by Kelly Leak from the Bad News Bears.

This morning I used Yahoo! to find more info on ‘late breaking news’.. Global Cooling? That bone-chilling global warming, from the BBC: Global temperatures for 2008 will be slightly cooler than last year as a result of the cold La Nina current in the Pacific, UN meteorologists have said. The World Meteorological Organization’s secretary-general, Michel Jarraud, told the BBC it was likely that La Nina would continue into the summer. and this: This would mean that temperatures have not risen globally since 1998 when El Nino warmed the world.
